Amy qualified as a solicitor in 2010 and spent many years at a niche commercial firm in Hertfordshire specialising in franchising.

Background

Amy graduated from University with a First Class law degree, she trained and qualified at a niche commercial firm with a strong reputation in franchising.  Amy became a partner in 2013 and headed up the franchise, dispute resolution and employment practice of the firm before moving to a more local firm in 2015.

Amy continued to work in local firms in Essex until 2020 when she joined Nexa as a consultant.

Amy is also a trained and qualified mediator.

Amy is widely known in the franchise industry and has a strong reputation for her dispute resolution work. Amy works closely with the Goldstein Legal Team and handles the majority of their dispute cases.  Amy also regularly receives referrals from other franchise professionals and lawyers and acts for many franchisees and a growing number of franchisors.

In recent times she was featured in What Franchises “Top UK Franchise Lawyers Profiled” article where she was described as being “widely respected as a safe pair of hands who protects her clients’ interests and achieves successful outcomes in the face of challenging situations.”  Amy has also appeared on the radio discussing franchising issues and has been the legal judge for the Working Mums franchise awards.

In addition, Amy regularly advises on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters with the majority of her commercial clients having worked with her for close to 12 years.

Amy prides herself on helping her clients find effective solutions quickly and cost-effectively so that her clients can focus on the operation of their businesses.

Interests

Outside of her legal work Amy co-owns a micro-brewery and wine business and in her spare time she enjoys touring with her caravan, city breaks, with her particular favourite place being Bruges.  She enjoys planning road trips around the wine regions of France having recently explored Champagne and the Alsace. Amy is a keen photographer and has won local competitions with her architectural photographs.
