The Law Firm Client (LFC) had a vacancy in its Risk and Compliance team before a new joiner was able to start. The firm required a solicitor to support its existing team with matters arising from claims and complaints.
NexaConnex is acting directly for the firm on its own internal risk and compliance matters.
NexaConnex has committed resource for 3 days per week to assist the firm. A lead lawyer manages the relationship and oversees all matters, with two junior lawyers on hand to assist as required.
There is provision to flex up or down the time commitment on 2 weeks’ notice.
Files are uploaded by the LFC to a secure file sharing system to which NexaConnex has access.
NexaConnex receives instructions by email using an agreed template instruction form.
Our lawyers review the file, contact the relevant LFC lawyer involved in the underlying matter and advise on the risks and next steps accordingly.
Work output includes completion of insurer notification forms, advice on rectification steps, advice on conflicts and instructions to Counsel or panel firms.
All work is overseen by the LFC’s Risk and Compliance Director who is in contact with the lead NexaConnex lawyer regularly.
Advice from NexaConnex lawyers is insured by Allianz under its professional indemnity policy with Nexa.
An agreed monthly fee for the time commitment is invoiced in advance.
