Clive has over 25 years of experience dealing with Private Client matters. He was previously the senior partner of a firm of solicitors based in Chelmsford Essex, having been based there for approaching 23 years.
Clive specialises in all aspects of Private Client work including the preparation of Wills, providing estate and Inheritance Tax planning advice often advising business owners and those with high net worth estates. Clive often advises on the interaction of client’s estates with Inheritance Tax allowances and reliefs to include Business Property Relief and Agricultural Property Relief. Clive has dealt with the administration of a large number of estates, many of them worth several millions of pounds. Clive also advises on and prepares Deeds of Variation so as to “re-write” the Will of someone who has passed away. He has frequently acted as an executor and trustee as a matter of course. Clive has also acted as a trustee in numerous ongoing trusts containing different assets. Clive is very open and personable and always makes it a priority to ensure that clients understand the more complicated areas of law as that may affect them.
