Kirsty Limacher

Kirsty is a Private Client Solicitor with extensive experience in dealing with Wills, Declarations of Trust, Estate Administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Court of Protection Deputy applications.

Kirsty is a Fully Accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly and an Affiliate member of STEP.  Kirsty focuses particularly on providing advice to elderly clients and the LGBTQ+ community and any allies.

My qualifications and expertise

Kirsty began her legal career in Norfolk where she gained over a decade of experience before relocating to the Home Counties.  Kirsty is a Fully Accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE), an affiliate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), and is dual qualified having been admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Ireland in October 2021, though is currently non-practising in Ireland.

Kirsty is a passionate advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and aims to provide a safe space for members of the community and allies to access advice on their personal affairs.  She has recently been named as a Pride Inclusion Advocate in Pride Life Global’s 50th Anniversary Edition celebrating Pride in London and is listed in the directory for Out Britain, the UK’s first LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce.

She has a particular interest in advising cohabiting couples and those with alternative relationship structures and has been a Committee Member of the Law Society’s LGBT+ Lawyers Division since March 2020.  Kirsty was recently appointed as a Trustee of Ask for Clive, a charity that partners with venues to promote inclusion and to create welcoming environments for the LGBTQ+ community.

  • Offering a tailored Will planning service based on your personal circumstances, current needs and requirements.
  • Advice on the preparation of Declarations of Trust to support the purchase of a property or formalise the agreed division of proceeds following purchase.
  • Kirsty can prepare Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) to allow you to appoint people who you trust to deal with your Property and Financial affairs and make decisions regarding your Health and Welfare, as well as advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney in your capacity as Director or Partner of your business. She can also act as a Part B Certificate Provider for LPAs prepared by you or another firm.
  • LPAs need to be made whilst you have capacity. If your loved one hasn’t made an LPA for Property and Financial Affairs, she can assist with an application to the Court of Protection for you to be appointed as Deputy to manage their property and financial affairs.

Interests

Kirsty has recently discovered a love of motorcycles, gaining her full licence in April 2019.  She also enjoys country walks with her husband, stepchildren and rescue Rottweiler cross.
