Digital Mortgages to go live this year

Digital mortgages deeds may seem a step too far into modern life but it could be coming to a reality this year.

HM Land Registry has announced in their latest report that the digital mortgage service, which has been in private testing since June 2016, will be soon opened up to the public for beta testing. The new system allows borrowers to sign deeds electronically using the government’s online authentication process.
