Is the new year the perfect time for you to change your career path?
Taking time away from work during the Christmas break gives many of us a real chance to “take stock”, evaluate where we are in our lives and to consider our priorities, both personal and professional – it’s no coincidence that lawyers dub the first week of January “divorce week”!
New year is the right time to consider a change
After a period of rest and reflection, the start of a new year often feels like the right time to make significant changes. This might take the form of vowing to look after ourselves better, for example by eating more healthily and exercising more. It also commonly involves deciding to actively look for a new job or finally plucking up the courage to resign.
If you are thinking about whether your current legal career is giving you everything you want, now is the time to seize the day and explore what the alternatives look like. There is a lot more choice than there used to be, which is great for everyone.
The consultancy model works for a diverse range of lawyers
At Nexa we are obviously big fans of the consultancy model, and we know it works really well for our diverse community of consultants, giving them the personal control and freedom, they may not have enjoyed before and allowing them to reach their full potential when it comes to earnings.
Our consultants come to us from all over the country with a vast range of experiences, from those who were previously law firm founders and owners, locums and freelancers, in-house counsel and partners and associates at traditional law firms, we have shown them all that there is a better way to work and live.
Our collaborative community of consultants really does make all the difference. But don’t just take our word for it! Check out some of our Consultants’ Stories to see how easy it is to make a change for the better.
Nexa has grown up and we’ll treat you like one too
Consultancy firms like ours were once the disruptors in the legal market, seen as the new kids on the block and labelled “new model law firms”. It’s fair to say we have grown up quite a bit and are now an established force within the industry. At Nexa, our business model is still agile, flexible and dedicated to innovation, but we now have a proven track record and are continuing to grow and mature.
All our consultants are their own boss, there’s no targets, no politics, no telling you how things “should” be done, our job is simply supporting our consultants so they can succeed – however they define that.
