Suzanne has extensive experience in contentious work including personal injury, landlord and tenant, debt collecting, commercial and other property disputes as well as Probate litigation which she has developed in recent years where she is willing to consider alternative fee arrangements such as deferred fee or no win no fee to assist those who cannot afford to fund the costs of litigation.

Case Studies
Suzanne’s interest in elderly care work led to her representing the Claimant in the case of Clarke v Allen and Smith 2019 EWHC 1193 AND 1194 (Ch), which involved an elderly widow of modest means who issued claims against the two daughters of her deceased husband in which Deputy Master Linwood held that the estate failed to provide reasonable financial provision for her, and also rescinded (reversed) the transfer of the property and awarded her the majority of her husband’s estate to the Claimant to fund her future care costs as well as other sums.
The total award exceeded well over £1,000,000. There were findings against the defendants of financial abuse, flouting Court Orders and misconduct by one of the daughters which was of particular concern to the Court as a result of which she forfeited £80,000 of her entitlement to the estate. The other daughter forfeited £1,000 as she had failed to take part in the majority of the proceedings.
