Nexa excited to be working with its new insurers, Travelers

In common with all law firms and sole practitioners, Nexa had to deal with the annual renewal of its professional indemnity insurance (PII) earlier this year.

This can be a Herculean task for those charged with finding the right cover at the right price for their firm. So, we are pleased to report that Nexa has found the perfect partner to deliver its PII and, it wasn’t too painful!

We were interested to hear, via the Law Society, what Travelers had to offer legal businesses like ours and were excited by their bid for our custom on our PII renewal in March.

Travelers is one of the market leading insurance companies in the flex, consultancy sector and they really understand the needs of our business. So, we are really pleased to now be insured by them and are looking forward to a long and fruitful relationship.

Who are Travelers?

Travelers was founded in 1853 to insure railroad and steamboat passengers at a time when journeys were more dangerous than today, hence the name.

Since then, they have achieved many “firsts”, perhaps the most noteworthy was providing the first ever policy for a manned mission to the moon, in 1969. They have been in the UK since 1990 and pride themselves on delivering insurance to ambitious businesses.

Nexa does insurance differently

We were surprised to discover that many of our competitor firms in the consultancy market will pass on all or part of any excess recovered by their insurers in the event of a successful claim against the firm. We don’t do this at Nexa: we will never ask our consultants to contribute to paying an excess which may fall due to our insurers under our policy.

In addition, all of our consultants are covered under our PII policy – whether or not they operate on our platform under the Nexa brand or their own brand.
