Viv Williams has entered into an exclusive agreement with Nexa in the South West of England to reach out to individual Solicitors to leave their current employment or to firms which may be looking to reduce their Partner or Senior Solicitor headcount.
Viv is a leading consultant to law firms specialising in strategy, structure and management and will add additional contacts and expertise to Nexa on a consultancy basis. Viv is currently the Consulting Director of Symphony Legal based in Bristol and Chairman of AWH Solicitors. Viv has written two books on Law firms management, is an avid writer in the legal press and an accomplished public speaker. Nexa is a consultant led law firm for senior lawyers who want greater freedom and flexibility to practise law on their own terms. Now with nearly 60 experienced lawyers across the country, nexa is offering more lawyers the opportunity to benefit from its generous fee share model and high-quality support as part of its expansion plans.
Viv states, “In these extremely difficult time for legal practices following the Covid 19 pandemic many firms are looking to restructure their practices. We know that the lockdown has devastated all firms both large and small with turnover predicted to fall between 30% to 50% in the coming year. For larger firms that are considering redundancies, nexa is the perfect solution to provide a home for Partners and fee earners and not providing a following for one of the local competitors. For other firms facing potential closure, nexa is again the perfect solution for Partners and fee earners to continue practising without the hassle of setting up a new practice.”
Matthew Dunne, Business Development Manager For Nexa states “We are delighted to be working with Viv, he is extremely well connected and will know the firms and the individuals involved. The legal industry now offers more choice and improved access. Clients are now taking notice, and the pace of change is gathering momentum. It is an exciting time, and at nexa we’re at the forefront of developments. For clients, the benefits include a more direct and personal service. For lawyers, our fee share arrangement will offer all the benefits of independence, including control over earnings and lifestyle. Quite simply, we help lawyers to love law and love life.”
The initial concentration will be targeted at the South West and South Wales.
